Mr. Adkins concentrates in the area of complex civil and criminal litigation. In the area of criminal law, Mr. Adkins has been certified by the Ohio Supreme Court to serve as lead counsel, as well as appellant counsel, for defendants charged in capital punishment crimes. Mr. Adkins has handled hundreds of cases ranging from multiple homicide cases, death penalty cases, and cases involving criminal enterprises, to robberies, burglaries and other violent crimes to cases of DUI and false accusations of child neglect or abuse. Mr. Adkins has been involved in several highly publicized cases in the southwest Ohio area. Mr. Adkins serves as acting judge for the Kettering Municipal Court as well as handles the part-time prosecution for local municipalities. He has been requested and has served as a special prosecutor for difficult criminal cases and has served as a consultant to local police departments. He has lectured on criminal law topics and served as moderator for criminal law symposiums. In the field of personal injury and product liability, Mr. Adkins has been successful in reaching settlements and obtaining jury verdicts for his clients who have been seriously injured in auto accidents or by other means. He has successfully defended large, nationally known companies in product liability cases. He also was able to effect a settlement for his client concerning the recent listeria outbreak in this area of the United States. Mr. Adkins has handled complex civil and criminal legal litigation in both State and Federal Courts. In addition to his law practice, Mr. Adkins has been engaged in many community and volunteer activities. He formed and was President of a local Little League Baseball program and served as District Administrator for the southwest Ohio area for Little League Baseball Incorporated. Mr. Adkins is a life long resident of the Dayton area, is married, and has three sons.
